Tie Dye, Day Cravat Ties Maker

Few words about Tie Dye.
Tie dye has been around for centuries, only not until the 1960's and 1970's did it more public. In order to tie dye, the material must be folded into a pattern and tied or bound with string or rubber bands.

Dye is then applied in a way that the color will only reach the part of the area that you apply it to. In modern days, many ties have had some more extravagant patterns, including tie dye and cravats ties makers.

Cravats for Summer 2009
Written by PureShirts.co.uk
Friday, 01 May 2009

Silk CravatsAt PureShirts we’re constantly updating our mens cravat selection. We produce in small batches, normally not more than around a dozen cravats per colour, to produce something really unique.

This summer we’ve commissioned a ninth-generation silk weaving company to produce fabric designs exclusively for PureShirts, using their amazing archive as our inspiration. It’s surprising to think that something similar to our cravats may have been worn nearly 300 years ago.

This cloth will be transformed into cravats under our own HIPPOCAMP© label. We have silk & linen, linen & cotton and, of course 100% silk. These cravats are double ended, double sided with our own special neck-piece construction to ensure the cravat stays in place and does not ride up. The Summer Collection is available from 10th May 2009.

CravatPureShirts cravats range starts from £19.95 for a silk single sided ascot. Our top-of-the-range mens cravats are £59.95 for our exclusive double-ended, double-sided, hand-cut English woven silk cravats. HIPPOCAMP cravats are available exclusively through www.PureShirts.co.uk We’re grateful to cravats.net in sharing our enthusiasm with a wider audience.

Cravats and Tie

The waistcoat and cravat are the peanut butter and jelly in the cravat world. Nothing goes better with a cravat than a waistcoat made to fit the cravat. The waistcoat cravat is designed to go with the waistcoat in a very formal attire. If you plan on going out and 'strutting your stuff' in a place where business men gather there is no better way to break the crowd then by wearing a waistcoat and cravat attire. Cravats, however, are not the simplest thing to wear out in public though. You need to be able to find one that matches the attire you are wearing and you need to know how to tie a cravat. Fortunately, cravat tying is simple.

Tying a cravat is almost exactly like tying a normal tie. Simply drape the cravat over your neck, and cross the ends. Take the end that is longer and bring it under the short end and wrap it over again. The bring the long end under the loop you just made so that it is in your face. The bring it back down and tuck it through the loop you have just created at the neck. That is the Scrunchie cravat tie. Another way other than the Scrunchie cravat tie is to do the self-tie cravat. This involves brining the long end down and tightening the know and securing it with a crevat pin or pearl headed corsage pin.
